Key Changes in the New Companies Bill 2015

On April 28 2016, the new Companies Bill was passed in Dewan Negara and it is anticipated that the Bill will come into force by the end of 2016. It is also anticipated that in the coming months, the Companies Commission of Malaysia will release the new regulations under the Companies for public consultation. The Bill sets out the Legal Framework that will replace the current Malaysian Companies Act 1965 and aims to introduce a modernised corporate legal framework for Malaysia.
