    Wei Zheng Kit

    Head of ASEAN Economics, Singapore and Malaysia Chief Economist at Citi

    Kit Wei Zheng joined Citi Research in 2007 and is a Director in Citi Asia Pacific Economic & Market Analysis. He is based in Singapore, where he oversees the ASEAN economics team and is also country chief Economist for Singapore and Malaysia. Prior to joining Citi, Kit spent 6 years as a Senior Economist in the External Economies Division at the Macroeconomic Surveillance Department at the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS), which he joined in 2001.

    Kit graduated from the National University of Singapore with a First Class Honours in Economics in 2001. He has been a frequent economic commentator in the media and has published numerous research pieces on issues pertaining to the Singapore and Malaysian economies. Kit has been regularly cited in investor surveys for economics research for these two countries, including Asia.

    Kit has been well ranked in a number of investor surveys, including Asia Money, Institutional Investor and the Asset Magazine.

    Rohit Garg

    Head of EM Asia Strategy at Citi

    Rohit has been covering the EM Asia markets since 2011. Prior to joining Citi Research in October 2024, Rohit worked at Bank of America Merrill Lynch and BNP Paribas on EM Strategy positions. Most recently, Rohit worked for almost four years at Alphadyne Asset Management, a macro hedge fund, first as a Strategist to the CIO/global investment team and later as a Sub-Portfolio Manager.

    Rohit holds a Masters degree in Computational Finance from Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh and a Bachelors of Technology in Computer Science from IIT Kanpur.

    Rohit’s team at Bank of America Merrill Lynch ranked #1 in 2016 and 2018 and #2 in 2017 in the Institutional Investor Surveys. Rohit was individually ranked #1 by TheAsset in 2020 in the EM Asia Strategy.
