With unprecedented disruption and ever-evolving supply chains, how will Penang and the Northern region of Malaysia adapt and thrive in the emerging global ecosystem?
Join AMCHAM at our annual Penang Dialogue on October 3, 2019 from 8:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (Registration starts at 8:00 a.m.) at the Eastern & Oriental Hotel.
The Penang Dialogue is the Chamber's signature program that brings together AMCHAM members with key stakeholders from local government, academia and civil society to discuss core themes related to doing business in Penang and Malaysia's Northern Region.
In the past 12 months, unprecedented shifts have taken place in and amongst trading nations. Malaysia has not been immune to these shifts and may even be benefitting from the movements. Competition is also rising. In the region, Vietnam, a country with double the population and a member of the CPTPP, is rising rapidly. And as technology disrupts logistics and other aspects of the value chain, will the resilience that Malaysia has demonstrated over the years, and specifically, Penang, allow it to rise and meet today's challenges?
AMCHAM is delighted to announce that Y.A.B. Chow Kon Yeow, the Chief Minister of Penang, will deliver a keynote address as well as H.E. Kamala Shirin Lakhdhir, U.S. Ambassador to Malaysia.
Due to overwhelming response each year, we would encourage you to register early to avoid disappointment as we are unable to accommodate last minute requests.
