Siobhan Das Chief Executive Officer at American Malaysian Chamber of Commerce (AMCHAM) Siobhan Das joined the American Malaysian Chamber of Commerce (AmCham Malaysia) in 2016 and is the organization’s first Chief Executive Officer in its 43 year history. Siobhan has created an action-oriented policy platform at the Chamber that is designed to address both the strategic concerns of American multinational companies and the tactical day to day challenges faced by operations on the ground. With the common goals of a successful Malaysia, Siobhan has sought to make the Chamber a collaborative partner with local and international associations along with government stakeholders in this journey. Siobhan plays an active role in the 28-member strong AmChams of Asia Pacific (AAP), serving in 2020 as a Vice Chair. She also serves on local boards: Junior Achievement Malaysia, focused on delivering education programs to school aged children in areas like financial literacy and entrepreneurship, and Global Shepherds, an NGO that provides care, welfare and intervention to those in poverty, victims of gender based violence and other forms of abuse, neglect and exploitation. Siobhan is a Sloan Fellow from the London Business School where she received her Masters in Leadership and Strategy and has a Bachelors of Science in Broadcasting & Film and a Bachelor of Arts in English from Boston University.
Dr. Valerie Jaques Founder of Integrated Psychology Network
Dr. Valerie Jaques Founder of Integrated Psychology Network Valerie Jaques is the first Malaysian psychologist to venture into the organizational world in addition to a therapeutic clinical and community practice. Besides being skilled in psychological assessment, she is experienced in the areas of employee assistance programs, coaching & counseling, crisis management, career direction and customized training. She obtained a Bachelor of Science (Hons) Degree from Universiti Sains Malaysia in 1987 and a Master of Arts Degree in Psychology in 1997 from the Ateneo De Manila University Philippines and recently in 2018, completed her PhD in Clinical Psychology where the focus of her dissertation was on shame as a trait in personality pathology. Valerie founded Integrated Psychology Network Sdn Bhd (2005), previously known as Psychnet Consultancy (1998). Besides providing therapy to individuals to promote better mental well-being, Valerie also works with both local and multinationals in Malaysia and in the Asia Pacific region in the areas of leadership coaching, outplacement and transition services for organizations undergoing mergers, acquisitions and separation schemes. Her role has been in helping to reposition employees to new career directions. Her strength includes being skilled at critical analysis in psychological assessments for legal, organization, education, and medical requirements. A passionate advocate for enhanced mental health, Valerie’s interest started during her early career days with her involvement with All Women’s Action Society in 1992, a Malaysian non-governmental organization that offers counseling in relation to women and gender issues. She has been a resource for the Asia Pacific Forum on women, law, and development in 1998/99 mainly in the areas of counseling and training for women and children as well.

Aik Kean Chong Managing Director of Intel Technology Sdn. Bhd. AK is the Vice President of Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Operations, Managing Director for Intel Malaysia site and General Manager of the System Integration & Manufacturing Services (SIMS) operations in the Assembly Test Manufacturing (ATM) group at Intel Corporation, where she is responsible for the Board and System Assembly factory that produces testers for Intel’s factories and labs globally. She joined Intel in 1991 after graduating college and has been with the company since. Starting off as a Microprocessor Failure Analysis engineer, AK held numerous technical leadership roles in the Corporate Quality Network group where she spent her first 26 years at Intel, focusing on products, manufacturing and quality systems. This includes several stints in Santa Clara US and Shenzhen China that spanned 10 years. She then led ATM’s quality and reliability group, driving overall factory quality performance before moving on to being General Manager of SIMS and Managing Director of Intel Malaysia. AK is the founding chair of the Malaysia Women Leadership Development Steering Committee, which aims to implement initiatives that help develop women leaders and establish strategies for women progression and advancement in Intel, in line with Intel’s RISE Inclusive 2030 Goals. She also sponsors the Malaysia Women at Intel Network and actively shares personal experiences on leading a successful career as a working mother and daughter caring for elderly parents. AK’s leadership principle can be summed up by Steve Job’s quote, “My job is not to be easy on people, my job is to make them better.” She believes that everyone can be a shining star in the organization. Her role is to give them challenging opportunities where they can learn, develop and unleash their full potential. Seeing the people around her grow, flourish and succeed motivates her the most.

Usman Ahmed Chief Executive Officer at Citibank Berhad Mr. Usman Ahmed is the Chief Executive Officer and an Executive Director of Citibank Berhad since February, 2021. Mr. Ahmed is also the Chairman of Citigroup Global Markets, Malaysia and leads the entire Citi franchise in Malaysia including Citi’s Solution Centers, which cater to over 50 countries around the globe. Mr. Ahmed has 28 years of international banking and Board-level experience in the Asia Pacific and EMEA regions, having been in various leadership positions spanning across Corporate & Investment Banking, Capital Markets, Commercial, Consumer and Islamic Banking. Having worked in seven countries, some of his prior roles have included the following: • CEO and Managing Director, Citi Bahrain, Kuwait and Qatar and CEO, Citi Islamic (Bahrain). • Head of Corporate and Investment Banking & Managing Director, Citi Philippines, Board Member Citicorp Capital Philippines, Inc. Mr. Ahmed also continues to be a Senior Credit Officer of Citi since 2013. He is a member of the Board of Governors of the American Chamber of Commerce, Malaysia, the Asian Institute of Chartered Bankers and the Financial Industries Collective Outreach, in addition to being a Council Member for the Association of Banks Malaysia.
