Anil has over 22 years of tax experience and leads EY Malaysia’s International Corporate Tax Advisory and tax technical teams. He has worked on tax compliance and consulting engagements involving corporate income tax, petroleum income tax, real property gains tax and stamp duty.
As part of his work in EY’s International Tax and Transaction Services Global team, Anil has been involved in numerous cross border projects (both inbound and outbound), particularly in relation to advising on the tax and regulatory issues facing companies investing in Malaysia and abroad. These include the impact of the OECD’s Base Erosion & Profit Shifting (BEPS) Action Plans and BEPS 2.0 project on holding and transactional structures, regulatory and licensing approvals, withholding taxes, tax incentives, structuring of operations in a business focused and tax efficient manner and exit strategies.
Anil has spoken at EY’s tax conferences and client events in Malaysia and abroad. He has also spoken at the Malaysian National Tax Conference and events organized by various bodies and associations.
