Announcement by Senior Minister Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali from the Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI) |

| MITI has undertaken engagement sessions with industry associations, Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), local and international Chambers of Commerce as well as other relevant Ministries and agencies in order to identify the additional economic sectors to be allowed to operate subject to the guidelines set by the Ministry of Health (MOH).
The Cabinet agreed to allow additional economic sectors to operate in phases subject to compliance with health guidelines and strict movement control. |

Employees in sectors allowed to operate must undergo Covid-19 screening |
|
|
|
All employees involved in the sectors allowed to operate will need to undergo Covid-19 screening at 3,000 Socso panel clinics before they can be allowed to work. This was announced by Senior Minister Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali in charge of the International Trade and Industry Ministry (MITI). This effort will be done together with the Human Resources Ministry and Socso. |

The operation of the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases (Declaration of Infected Local Areas) Order 2020 is further extended for a period from 15 April 2020 to 28 April 2020. The Doc attached lists the latest rules and regulations for the Prevention And Control Of Infectious Diseases Act taking effect during the third phase of the Movement Control Order (MCO). |

| The Penang government will ensure that hospitals and government clinics in the state have adequate personal protective equipment (PPE) supply, says Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow. This assurance was made by Chow in his daily message via Facebook live on his FB page today, following a report by the Health Ministry director general Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah on April 13 that they were facing shortage of PPEs. |
