AMCHAM Update #32: COVID-19 Outbreak

During this (extended) period of the Movement Control Order, AMCHAM will be bringing updates on the latest COVID-19 developments, which includes the efforts of Government and initiatives from other bodies and organizations.
Statement from The Director of Crime Investigation Department
Those who had travelled to their hometowns and are now stranded there since the movement control order was imposed will be allowed to return after getting permission to travel, says Bukit Aman. Federal CID director Comm Datuk Huzir Mohamed said the government came to this decision on April 23 and applications could be made via the Gerak Malaysia app.
