Siobhan Das, CEO of AMCHAM together with the AMCHAM Team had a packed scheduled today since they arrived in Penang this morning with back to back meetings with Invest Penang, Bank Negara Malaysia Office Pulau Pinang, Penang Development Corporation Malaysia followed by meetings with our members as well. The day ended with a cocktail reception at the E&O Hotel, beautiful sunset by the sea. We had approximately 40 members that attended the event with strict SOP’s in place to protect the safety of our members. |

| In line with the Government of Malaysia's efforts to curb the spread of COVID-19, effective 24 July 2020, all individuals returning from overseas entering Malaysia must undergo mandatory quarantine for 14 days at a dedicated quarantine center. The person under surveillance (PUS) will have to bear the cost of quarantine at RM150 per night. |

| The use of face masks in public areas will be made compulsory from Aug 1, says Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob. The Senior Minister (Security) said those who do not comply with the ruling can be fined or prosecuted in court. He said the government made the ruling following the increase of COVID-19 cases for the past three days and lack of compliance on standard operating procedure (SOP) among the public. |
