In cooperation with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and the Global Innovation Policy Center (GIPC), AMCHAM invites you to join us for the launch of the 2019 U.S. Chamber International IP Index on Friday, March 15 2019 from 9:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. (registration starts at 9:00 a.m.)at the Nusantara Ballroom 1, Level 2 of the Sheraton Imperial Hotel Kuala Lumpur. This program is complimentary for AMCHAM members and guests only.

The 2019 U.S. Chamber International IP Index creates a roadmap for countries that aspire to foster economic growth and global competitiveness through stronger IP.

Malaysia has been tracked by the Index since its inception in 2012. Its position today is a testament to its recognition of the capacity of IP to translate innovation into wealth as one of the game changers needed to achieve high-income status by 2020. In this latest edition, the Index benchmarks the IP framework in 50 global economies.

Additionally, this year, the GIPC have launched a new initiative, 2019 Regional IP Champions, aiming to cultivate the next generation of strong IP leaders. We are helping the GIPC to identify these leaders in Malaysia - please see the document below for more information.

Please join us to learn more about the evolving landscape of IP in Malaysia as well as in other countries within the ASEAN region. See how Malaysia is advancing with this critical component of international competitiveness.
