Join us on how to improve your product quality with the latest clean and sterile design technology related to both the food and pharma industries on Tuesday, Feb 6 from 9.30 a.m. - 11.30 a.m. at the AMCHAM Executive Office for a spotlight session brought to you by Haskell.

This program is recommended for Operations, Engineers, Technical Services and Maintenance professional, to identify and troubleshoot issues with an existing operation in the Food & Beverage, Dairy, Pharma and Biotech industry.

Clean in place (CIP) technology has great benefits when applied correctly for sanitary industries, such as food and pharmaceutical manufacturing. We will review a case study of an existing installation which was modified by the plant with subsequent poor product quality because of improper execution.

Steam in place (SIP) technology is the typical approach for sterilizing equipment in place for pharmaceutical manufacturing. This case study reviews issues with steaming equipment to maintain sterility.

The root cause, tools, approach and resolution will be discussed for both the CIP and SIP case studies. This complimentary workshop will be conducted by Mike Byron who leads the Biopharma Division in Seiberling Associates. Mike has applied clean and sterile process design criteria to a great variety of process operations and has specific expertise in Process/CIP/SIP integration.

Seiberling, a Haskell Company, is an Engineering and Technical Consulting Company providing process, clean in place (CIP) and steam in place (SIP) design and automation services to the Food, Dairy, Pharmaceutical and Biotech industries. Seiberling Associates, Inc. was founded in 1976 and has built long-term relationships with clients by developing innovative, automated and cost-effective hygienic engineering solutions.
