AMCHAM and the United States Embassy Kuala Lumpur invites you to a presentation titled "Integrating Renewable Energy into the Grid" focusing on renewable energy technologies by Dr. Allen Eisendrath, Director - Office of Global Climate Change, U.S. Agency for International Development and Mr. Santhosh Nair, Industry Leader, Energy, Environment and Utilities of IBM.

Date: Friday, April 13
Time: 8.30 a.m. to 10.00 a.m. (Registration starts at 8.00 a.m.)
Location: AMCHAM Executive Office

Please join us as Dr. Eisendrath shares his expertise on ways to encourage the adoption of renewable energies into the electricity market and Mr. Nair will share IBM’s exciting work on smart grids, which represent an unprecedented opportunity to move the energy industry into a new era of reliability, availability, and efficiency that will contribute to economic and environmental health and energy security.

This will be an informative presentation and discussion on the challenges, opportunities, and best practices for taking advantage of the redundancies and benefits of harnessing renewable energy from both small-scale and industrial-sized installations. Renewable energy has not only benefits for energy security, but price stability and predictability, health, and the environment. Smart grids offer benefits such as the highest efficiency electricity transmission, fewer and less severe power interruptions, reduced operation and management costs for utilities, increased integration of large-scale renewable energy systems, and more. On the cusp of the next energy revolution, learn how Malaysia can become a regional leader through innovative renewable energy integration.

A light breakfast with coffee/tea will be served. This complimentary program is open to AMCHAM members and invited guests only.
