With the reality of U.S. Tax Reforms reverberating across the world, many are wondering how this will influence the strategic decision-making of global multinational companies and how it will play out in Malaysia and in ASEAN. Are we likely to see any large impact on FDI, reinvestments, employment levels, or supply chain agreements here in Malaysia? What are the implications of repatriation on corporate profits?

To help us with these questions, AMCHAM is delighted to welcome two tax experts from EY to help address and highlight key areas that are relevant to U.S. companies based in Malaysia, on Wednesday, March 14 from 8.30 a.m. to 10.30 a.m. at The Ritz Carlton Kuala Lumpur.

Mr. Aaron Topol is a Partner in EY’s Tax Services practice and leads the US Tax Desk for the Asia Pacific region from his base in Hong Kong. Mr. Garrett Davidson is a US-focused international tax services Senior Manager serving clients throughout Asia-Pacific out of Singapore.

Seminar outline:
  • Main changes affecting US corporations
  • Changes to the US’s international tax systems
  • Short and mid-term considerations for Malaysian subsidiaries of US MNC’s and for Malaysian MNC’s with US subsidiaries
