David is currently Managing Director for the Malaysian Aerospace Industry Association and in addition carried out a number of other assignments as aerospace consultant, interim manager as well as delivering leadership training. Prior to this David was Managing Director, Asia Pacific for the Chartered Management Institute responsible for developing the brand and expanding the list of clients and partners in the region. For 8 years David was General Manager, RUAG Aviation Malaysia, a majority owned Swiss corporation, responsible for the start-up and subsequent operation, targeting regional business in the SE Asia region.

Prior to this he was Vice President Sales Asia Pacific for SR Technics and before this ran an independent consultancy focused on joint ventures, business planning, market strategy and supply chain development, offering support to government bodies, financial institutions as well as small and medium sized enterprises. David was employed for more almost 10 years with Rolls-Royce including being Regional Director involved in developing both the aerospace and defence markets. During his time at Rolls-Royce he also led the development of their new aftermarket portfolio as well as the successful development of their customer e.business portal. For nineteen years David worked with two leading airlines namely Malaysia Airlines and British Airways where he held various supervisory and management roles in both a technical and commercial capacity.

David has lived in Malaysia for more than 30 years and is a Permanent Resident. He has also been a Board member for a number of Malaysian companies and has been involved in various voluntary roles. One of these being a Member Director of Pemudah. For 10 years David was a Board member of Eurocham – 7 years as Chair. He was past Founder and Chair of the Chartered Management Institute Malaysia Branch and has led a number of other leadership roles in other chambers of commerce, education institutions, and various charitable organisations. David holds an MBA from University of Nottingham, an honours degree in Aeronautical Engineering and is a Companion of the Chartered Institute of Management UK, a Fellow of the Malaysian Institute of Management and a Member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing.

Brian D. McFeeters has served as U.S. Ambassador to Malaysia since February 26, 2021. A career member of the Senior Foreign Service, Brian previously served as Deputy Chief of Mission of the U.S. Embassy, Baghdad, Iraq, Senior Advisor in the Office of the Counselor to the Secretary of State, and Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary in the State Department’s Bureau of Economic and Business Affairs in Washington. Brian has spent half of his 30-year Foreign Service career working on Southeast Asia, including as Deputy Chief of Mission of U.S. Mission Indonesia, as Political Counselor at U.S. Embassy Kuala Lumpur, and as Deputy Director of the State Department’s Office of Maritime Southeast Asia.

Mr. McFeeters’ other assignments include service as the Economic Minister Counselor of the U.S. Mission to the European Union in Brussels, Belgium and Economic Minister Counselor for U.S. Embassy Baghdad, and Deputy Political Counselor at the U.S. Embassy in Seoul, Republic of Korea. Brian previously served in the U.S. Air Force, attaining the rank of Captain.

Mr. McFeeters was awarded B.A. and B.S. degrees from the University of Notre Dame, an M.S. from the University of New Mexico, and an M.A. from the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies. His foreign languages are Malaysian, Indonesian, French, Spanish, and German.
