Yap is a Partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers Malaysia and a Fellow of CPA Australia (FCPA). As PwC Malaysia’s Head of Digital he provides oversight for PwC’s digital enablement efforts from strategy through execution, governance and compliance, as well as client implementation engagements. With a wealth of experience spanning 9 years, Yap offers tax advisory and compliance services to a diverse clientele of Malaysian and multinational companies. Since 2001, he has focused on tax technology strategy and roadmap, where he utilises cutting-edge technologies including data and analytics, artificial intelligence, and robotic process automation to enhance operational efficiency for clients as well as the various tax practices of PricewaterhouseCoopers' firm in the Asia-Pacific region. From 2011 to 2016, Yap was also the Malaysian firm’s CIO. In this role, he oversaw all aspects of IT development, procurement, management, enhancements, and support, covering infrastructure, security and applications development.

As a tech journalist, Zul focuses on topics including cloud computing, cybersecurity, and disruptive technology in the enterprise industry. He has expertise in moderating webinars and presenting content on video, in addition to having a background in networking technology.
