Event Details

Plastics are an important material in the global economy but present a challenge for waste management, resource efficiency, and the environment. What can we do to reduce the impact of plastic wastes? How can we come together to address this challenge?

AMCHAM, in partnership with the Society for Conservation Biology (SCB), invites you to a special session with Craig Leeson, producer of the documentary, A Plastic Ocean & BNP Paribas Global Sustainability Ambassador on Monday, 22 July 2019, from 2.00pm - 3.30pm at the AMCHAM Executive Office.

Craig will discuss what is being done towards the development of alternative plastic products and sustainability systems and his involvement in collaborative efforts to transform global economies and financial systems to non-single-use plastics economies through transition projects like the Ellen MacArthur circular economy and the Loop system.

Who should attend: Companies and those interested or actively supporting United Nations' Sustainable Development Goal #12 - Responsible consumption and production.
