AMCHAM invites you to come for an afternoon presentation on Enabling the Next Generation of Women Leaders in the Economy.


This session will focus on efforts that the private sector has taken around the world to enable women to rise in leadership roles, the importance of early education programs and engagement programs, STEM and digital technologies role in expanding these opportunities and the role that the public sector can take to enable women to rise as leaders in the economy more effectively including analyzing regulatory barriers and assistance efforts.


The presenter Greta Schettler, is the founder and CEO of Equal Up Strategies, where she works on inclusive economic and advancement of entrepreneurial ecosystems, with a focus on designing and scaling efforts to expand women's economic participation and entrepreneurship through development, trade, economic, and international business initiatives.


This program is part of the American speaker series in collaboration with the U.S. Embassy in Malaysia.

    Greta Schettler

    CEO of Equal Up Strategies

    Greta Schettler is founder and CEO of Equal Up Strategies, where she works on inclusive economic and advancement of entrepreneurial ecosystems, with a focus on designing and scaling efforts to expand women’s economic participation and entrepreneurship through development, trade, economic, and international business initiatives.

    Greta is the former vice president of WEConnect International, a corporate-led non-profit global network that connects more than 80 global members, including multilateral organizations and Fortune 500 companies committed to sourcing from women-owned businesses.

    Before joining WEConnect, Greta served as Senior Economic Policy Advisor in the Secretary’s Office of Global Women’s Issues for the U.S. Department of State. There she was responsible for globally elevating women’s economic participation as a U.S. foreign policy priority. Her leadership was key to the strategic development and expansion of over 30 major initiatives such as APEC Women and the Economy, and the Equal Futures Partnership. Her record of accomplishment and dedication to sustainability resulted in groundbreaking efforts on women’s economic participation in the G20, G-7, and the Global Entrepreneurship Summit.
