Event Details

The global theme for International Women's Day 2025 - Accelerate Action - continues the momentum from last year's Accelerate Progress, pushing for decisive, sustainable steps toward gender equality.

AMCHAM, in collaboration with 30% Club Malaysia, is excited to present Powering Progress and Impact through DEI on Wednesday, 19 March 2025 (2:00PM - 4:15PM). Join us for an empowering discussion on how advancing women in the workplace fuels business success and drives Malaysia's economic growth.

Studies suggest that full female economic participation could add up to $26 trillion to global GDP (McKinsey, 2016). However, Malaysia currently ranks 114th out of 146 countries in the 2024 Global Gender Gap Report, trailing behind ASEAN peers like the Philippines and Singapore. This event explores the business case for gender equality and its economic potential.

Our expert panel will discuss:

  • The critical role of women in the workplace
  • The measurable benefits of diverse and inclusive teams
  • Women in leadership and the evolving landscape of DEI in Malaysia

This session will bring together local and global thought leaders, sharing real-world insights on breaking barriers and driving meaningful DEI impact. Speakers will be announced soon, Be part of the change!
