Eli Serota is a Director in FTI Consulting’s Strategic Communications segment based in Singapore, where he leads Cybersecurity & Data Privacy Communications across Asia. Eli provides communications guidance to organizations around cybersecurity incident response and cybersecurity preparedness scenarios, particularly those involving sensitive data such as personal identifiable information (“PII”), protected health information (“PHI”), and intellectual property (“IP”). This involves the design and implementation of complex, multistakeholder communications programs to address the needs of each organization. Eli’s experience spans nearly every industry and various attack types including double & triple ransomware, phishing campaigns, human engineered breaches, and credential stuffing.

Hasnul is the Director, Government and Regulatory Affairs for IBM covering Indonesia, Brunei and Malaysia. His responsibilities include strategic stakeholder engagement, the provision of policy input to government stakeholders, supporting the business objectives of IBM in Indonesia, Brunei and Malaysia and is part of the IBM Malaysia senior leadership team.

He has over 25 years of experience in working in various leadership roles in startups and the Multimedia Development Corporation ( MDeC ). His extensive experience in handling management, technical and strategy roles has served to strengthen his contribution to the various organizations he has served in. He has been involved in the Economic Transformation Labs at the national ( ETP 2010 ) and regional level ( IRDA ). He has represented IBM as a speaker on a wide range of technology and policy issues at various forums as the ASLI Digital Economy Conference, ASLI Malaysia Education Summit, the Edge SME Summit and other industry events.

He is currently involved in the Government Relations Committee of the American Malaysian Chamber of Commerce and a member of the US Asean Business Council. He is an avid reader of economic theory, business strategy, biographies and Tom Clancy novels. In his spare time he enjoys trekking, military simulation paintball and strategy themed computer games. His current policy interest areas are national.

Deepak heads Christopher & Lee Ong’s Technology, Media and Telecommunications, and Data
Privacy & Protection Practice Group. He has over two decades of experience focused on Technology,
Media and Telecommunications, and Data Protection. Deepak is widely acknowledged as one of
Malaysia's leading experts in this field and has been been consecutively listed by the established
legal directories such as ‘Asian Legal Business Law JournalI’, ‘Chambers Asia Pacific’ and ‘Legal500’
as a leading individual and Tier 1 practitioner.

Deepak was one of the first legal practitioners to provide feedback and input in relation to the
drafting of the PDPA Bill in 1999. He has been active in Data Protection since then and has worked
with clients from the banking and finance, insurance, airlines, education, information technology,
hotel and direct sales sectors, on end-to-end compliance exercise in respect of the PDPA, including
performing audits of personal data, identifying gaps in compliance, as well as drawing up the
necessary personal data protection documentation and policies.
