On Friday, 18 October, AMCHAM will be holding a special, closed-door briefing session with Hans Vriens, founder and managing partner of Vriens & Partners, Southeast Asia's leading government affairs consultancy.


Hans will share his perspective on US-China relations and major power competition in Southeast Asia, as well as the impact of geopolitical developments on how MNCs should approach government relations in the region. He will also give his take on how regional governments view the coming U.S. elections, perspectives on China's involvement in the regional economic architecture and the state of digital investments in the region.

    Hans Vriens

    Managing Partner at Vriens & Partners

    At V&P, Hans leads government affairs, public policy and political risk analysis teams across Southeast Asia. V&P has more than 90 staff and 30 senior counselors across Singapore, Indonesia, Vietnam, Myanmar, Thailand, Malaysia, the Philippines, and Cambodia. Prior to establishing the firm, Hans was Vice Chairman, Asia at APCO Worldwide. He set up and served as Managing Director of the Indonesia practice for six years.

    He has served on a number of boards of business chambers and foundations in the region and is currently Chairman of the V&P Public Policy Institute.
