The Ministry of Health has issued a statement with regards to Prime Minister’s announcement on the proposed reduction of quarantine period for foreigners entering Malaysia to boost the economy and tourism. In line with this, the new guideline will reduce the quarantine period from 14 days to mere 7 days for those fully vaccinated while those who are partially or not vaccinated to be quarantined for 10 days

Nearly 94pc of Malaysia’s adult population fully vaccinated
A total of 21,960,911 individuals or 93.8 per cent of the adult population in Malaysia have completed their COVID-19 vaccination as of yesterday, 17 October. 97.2 per cent of the adult population, or 22,745,310 individuals, have received at least one dose of the vaccine. A total of 134,180 doses of the vaccine were dispensed yesterday, involving both the adult and the adolescent populations.
