| Minister of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Datuk Seri Alexander Nanta Linggi has revealed that COVID-19 self-test kits are now available for less than RM7, which is well below the set ceiling price of RM19.90. A total of 2,570 business premises throughout the country have been authorised to sell COVID-19 rapid test kits as of October 28. |

| The government is currently funding two research projects on the development of COVID-19 vaccines, in collaboration with Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM). Higher Education Ministry together with the Science, Technology and Innovation Ministry was funding a research project using the Newcastle disease virus. The project began on March 1 this year and is expected to end on Aug 31 next year. |
