The AmChams of Asia Pacific fourth in its 2022 Virtual Door Knock Series will focus on the Indo-Pacific Economic Framework, Trade and ASEAN.

Ambassador Ashok Mirpuri, Singapore Ambassador to the US, will provide his view on the US-ASEAN Special Summit and the evolving engagement between the United States and the region, especially as it related to the Indo-Pacific Economic Framework (IPEF).

Dr. Deborah Elms, Founder and Executive Director, Asian Trade Centre, will provide her insights on how the IPEF will be incorporated into the existing regional trade architecture.

AMCHAM in partnership with General Electric Malaysia will be organizing a half day forum - Future of Energy in Malaysia on 30 June 2022 (Thursday), from 9.00am to 2.00pm at JW Marriott Hotel Kuala Lumpur.

A clean and just energy transition is the way to go in combating climate change and to achieve Malaysia's goal of becoming a carbon neutral nation by 2050 at the earliest, as stated in the 12th Malaysian Plan. This half day program looks to explore the energy transition and technology available to strengthen the grid system in Malaysia for a cleaner, more sustainable future.

Having received her Bachelor's in International Economics from the University of Malaysia Sabah, comes to AMCHAM with many years of experience as an Assistant Trade Manager and Smart Cities Lead at the British High Commission Kuala Lumpur. She brings in various experience such as forging closer links between businesses of both countries through trade, collaborations and partnerships for overseas direct investment, many of which sees Malaysia as a gateway to ASEAN.
