On 20 September, 2022, AMCHAM hosted the launch of PayPal’s latest report on Accelerating SME Digitalization in Malaysia.

PayPal had conducted a survey of 1,000 SME owners across Malaysia, to examine the digital readiness of Malaysian SMEs, analyse the progress of their digitalization efforts, assess the impact that digitalization has had on their ability to sell cross-border, and identify solutions to address challenges as well as to capture new opportunities that had emerged.

On 19 September, members had the opportunity to meet face to face with the new Consul General, Michael Sweeney at the U.S. Business Visa briefing held at AMCHAM’s Executive Office. Mike provided members an update on the current procedures for attaining a travel visa to the U.S. as well as an overview of the general visa application process and address any general queries to demystify the application process.
