It was a momentous occasion for Motorola Solutions Malaysia commemorating its 50 years of operations in Penang last night, 30 November 2022.

Chief Minister of Penang, Y.A.B. Tuan Chow Kon Yeow commended Motorola for its efforts to build its “Penang operations to become one of the largest fully integrated sites for Motorola Solutions worldwide”.

This week, the Oasis International School (OIS) secondary students engaged in the OIS Career Fair! The fair kicked off with a dynamic panelist of guests from various industries as they shared with students about their unique university and career pathways. Students also learned about what skills, abilities and values are required for those careers to be a “best fit.”

Production of semiconductor chips is concentrated in Taiwan and South Korea, and disruptions to global supply chains meant U.S. companies faced year-long waits for chips. This past summer, Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo warned that an inability to access Taiwan’s semiconductors would lead the U.S. to a “deep and immediate recession.”
