| Those who do not abide by the directives under the Movement Control Order (MCO) can be fined not more than RM1,000 or jailed for not more than six months or both. The Federal Gazette (refer to next section below - Prevention And Control Of Infectious Diseases Regulations 2020) and was made by the Attorney General's Chambers after the announcement of MCO from March 18 to March 31 by Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin to curb the Covid-19 pandemic. |

| The Ministry of International Trade & Industry (MITI) and its Agencies will operate remotely during the 14-day Restricted Movement Order from 18 to 31 March 2020. However, essential services will still be delivered through conventional means. These services include the endorsement of Certificates of Origin (COO), which will be done physically at Menara MITI, from 9am to 1pm daily, except on weekends. All other services such as applications for Approved Permit (AP), Strategic Trade Act (STA) permit, grant, loan and other relevant facilities will be done via digital means. |

| In compliance with the Movement Control Order announced by YAB Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, Prime Minister of Malaysia to contain the Covid-19 outbreak, the Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA) will close all its premises in KL Sentral and throughout the country from 18 to 31 March 2020. MIDA has established its work-from-home arrangements and will be using various digital platforms to remotely connect with its stakeholders. |
