The U.S. Embassy Kuala Lumpur is pleased to present two Fulbright Exchange Grant opportunities for educators and mid-career professionals in 2021-2022 - the Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship Program and the Fulbright Foreign Language Teaching Assistant Program (FLTA). The programs are funded by the U.S. Department of State and administered by the Malaysian-American Commission on Educational Exchange (MACEE) in partnership with the U.S. Embassy.

Microsoft unveiled Asia Pacific findings from the latest edition of its Security Endpoint Threat Report 2019, which revealed a decrease in cyberthreat encounters in Malaysia, across cryptocurrency mining, malware and ransomware encounters and drive-by download attacks, in the last year. Findings were derived from an analysis of diverse Microsoft data sources.

CITI announced the appointment of banking veteran Lee Lung Nien as the South Asia chairman of its private banking arm. Mr Lee, a Singaporean, will assume his new role at Citi Private Bank (CPB) from 1st of September 2020 and will be based in Singapore. He is currently the Chief Executive Officer of Citi Malaysia - since 2014.

HSBC Malaysia and the Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) aimed to accelerate the adoption of technology among small-and-medium-enterprises (SMEs), large local corporates and multinational companies in the country. The collaboration highlights the critical role of public-private partnerships in mitigating the adverse effects of COVID-19 on businesses in Malaysia.
