| Senior Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob today said that those returning from Sabah after voting in the state election will not need to undergo the compulsory 14-days quarantine. Ismail Sabri said that the authorities are only encouraging those who return from selected areas such as Tawau, Lahad Datu, Semporna and Kunak in Sabah — where COVID-19 cases are rife — to perform swab tests for their own safety. |

| The E&E Productivity Nexus (EEPN) under the Malaysia Productivity Corporation (MPC) will be organising Virtual Hackathons 2020 which will feature an Artificial intelligence (AI) based machine vision system. This virtual hackathon aims for participants to develop affordable AI-based machine vision Proof of Concepts (POCs) solutions, for potential adoption by Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs). The targeted participants are students from universities and colleges in East and West Malaysia. The hackathon will be organised in West Malaysia on 10 October 2020 and East Malaysia on 18 October 2020 respectively. |
