| Taiping has become the first district in Perak to be declared a red zone in the recovery movement control order (RMCO) phase after 77 COVID-19 infections were detected in the last 14 days. The State Health Department said that 48 new COVID-19 positive cases were reported in the district as of October 15. |

| The government has decided to enforce the Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO) at Kampung Padang Che Mas in Baling, Kedah starting from Oct 18 to 31. Senior Minister (Security Cluster) Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said a total of 1,150 people from 151 households will be affected by the CMCO. |
