The government will prioritise frontline workers in crucial economic sectors, especially from red states, for COVID-19 inoculation amid slow vaccine registration of high-risk groups. People who have already signed up on MySejahtera for vaccination, regardless of their risk levels for severe Covid-19 disease, also may be able to get their shots as early as April or May.

The government has extended the Temporary Measures for Reducing the Impact of Coronavirus Disease 2019 Act 2020 that covers key relief measures to protect certain industries from legal action for failing to meet their contractual obligations. The order was supposed to expire at the end of this month.

Whenever the world suffers an economic crisis, it’s almost guaranteed that changes to indirect tax will follow.
