Participation of the corporate sector in the National COVID-19 Immunisation Programme will help boost registration for and communications related to the vaccination especially in rural areas via corporate companies’ networks and assets. This collaboration is expected to increase communications on the immunisation programme to penetrate every segment of society, especially the second phase group as well as priority communities

The Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) has announced that Community Internet Centres (PIK) nationwide will be mobilised as help centres for COVID-19 vaccine registration. Members of the public facing difficulties with COVID-19 vaccine registration can get help from staff members at the nearest PIK to register their interest using the MySejahtera mobile application.

The Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA) announced the retirement of its Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Dato’ Azman Mahmud. Mr. Arham Abdul Rahman, former Deputy CEO of MIDA will step up to the role of the new CEO effective 1 April 2021. Mr. Arham has an outstanding track record and highly distinguished career spanning over three decades with MIDA. He has served primarily in the foreign investment arm of the organisation, with years of service in Germany and the USA.

The Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine has demonstrated 100 per cent efficacy and robust antibody responses in a Phase Three trial in adolescents 12 to 15 years of age, Xinhua news agency quoted the two companies on Wednesday. The trial enrolled 2,260 adolescents 12 to 15 years of age in the United States.

The Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC) announced Razif Abdul Aziz as its new Vice President of Investment and Grants. Razif will manage the ongoing and upcoming initiatives to drive investments in Malaysia’s digital economy and to manage grants distribution across all MDEC programmes.
