|AMCHAM Update #254 COVID-19 Outbreak|
During this period of Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO), AMCHAM will be bringing you daily updates on the latest COVID-19 developments, which includes the efforts of the Government and initiatives from other bodies and organizations.
The movement control order will be implemented in six districts in Selangor from May 6-17. Interstate and inter-district travel will not be allowed. The affected districts are Hulu Langat, Petaling, Gombak, Klang, Kuala Langat and Sepang.
On 4 May, AmCham Singapore held a webinar titled ‘Fireside Chat with Dato' Sri Norazman Ayob, Deputy Secretary-General of MITI, Malaysia’ to learn about Malaysia's investment landscape and potential trade opportunities for companies in Asia-Pacific through Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) and Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP).
Amidst the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, various occupational health and safety risks have emerged as measures are implemented to mitigate the spread of the virus at the workplace. Employers must put in place safety protocols to ensure a virus-free workplace and that the employees are ready to return to work, both mentally and physically.
