AMCHAM 44th AGM - 15 June 2021 Virtually
AMCHAM's 44th Annual General Meeting will be held on Tuesday, 15 June. As a voting member of the Chamber, you are invited to attend and participate.

While we have always attempted to hold these in-person, with the current situation with COVID-19 we are currently registering for an online/virtual program. This AGM will be accessible via the Microsoft Teams platform. Please save the date in your calendars and we will keep you apprised of developments.

New, larger locations for COVID-19 jabs
Four COVID-19 vaccination centres (PPVs) would be closed, including Stadium Titiwangsa and the Bandar Sri Menjalara Community Hall, and two bigger venues opened to facilitate vaccine recipients there. The new arrangements, after mounting complaints from the public over the congestion and difficulties endured by senior citizens mostly, at the two aforementioned PPVs.

New round of AstraZeneca opt-in registration for those under 60 opens at noon tomorrow, 26 May
The COVID-19 Immunisation Task Force (CITF) today announced that opt-in registration for the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine for those under 60 will begin tomorrow, 26 May 2021. Slots for the vaccine would be available for booking at 12pm. However the elderly will still be prioritised when assigning slots for the vaccine

AMCHAM will be having a Corporate Citizenship Committee Meeting on the 24th of May, 2021.

This meeting serves as the main platform through which members in the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) space gather to share and update each other on CSR related news and to roll out AMCHAM's CSR agenda for the year.

AMCHAM strongly recommends its members to participate in the CCC meetings, especially the CSR leads, Managers or Head of the CSR departments to stay updated to what's happening in the area.

Citi appoints Serene Gay as head of credit cards and personal loans for global consumer banking in Singapore
Citi announced the appointment of Serene Gay as the Singapore Head of Credit Cards & Personal Loans for its Global Consumer Banking (GCB) business, succeeding Vikas Kumar who will be joining Citi’s US Consumer Unsecured Lending team as the Head of Personal Installment Lending. In her new role, Gay will oversee credit cards and unsecured lending covering Citi-branded and co-branded cards for consumers, as well as Citi-branded commercial cards.
