During this period of Full Movement Control Order (FMCO 3.0) starting June 1 to June 14, AMCHAM will be bringing you daily updates on the latest COVID-19 developments, which includes Government-issued orders, regulations, and SOPs as well as initiatives from related bodies and organizations.
Hospital Ampang has close to 150 COVID patients now in, and for the past few weeks the hospital has been expanding the wards in terms of manpower, equipment, and proper isolation spaces.

With the implementation of the Full Movement Control Order (FMCO 3.0) effective from 1 June to 14 June 2021, a new set of SOPs have been released for General FMCO SOPs and for Manufacturing Sector.
Notable updates include the list of essential sectors, movement restrictions, workforce capacity, business and services operation hours, and the activities prohibited.
In exercise of the powers conferred by subsection 11(2) of the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases Act 1988 [Act 342] changes to the regulations have been made. These changes cover essential services, types of movement and conditions of movement.
Application from the ICT and eCommerce sectors to be exempted from the Movement Control Order (MCO) can be made through the COVID-19 Intelligent Management System (CIMS) 3.0. In a statement today, Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC) said companies that have applied and received approvals for their applications through CIMS 2.0 do not need to re-apply, and could download and print approval letters for operation from 8pm on Monday, May 31.
Housing and Local Government (MHLG) minister Datuk Zuraida Kamaruddin today requested those in the facility and property management sector to hold on to their operation applications, until a code is prepared by the Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI).
