| Hospital Ampang has close to 150 COVID patients now in, and for the past few weeks the hospital has been expanding the wards in terms of manpower, equipment, and proper isolation spaces.
Both patients and clinicians need equipments urgently to be able to do their work.

| There will be more checks at malls and other public places by standard operating procedure (SOP) compliance teams over the upcoming long weekend to ensure that people only go out to get essentials.
More roadblocks will be set up around Selangor and Kuala Lumpur to check the movement of people. |

| The U.S. Government announced its framework for sharing at least 80 million U.S. vaccine doses globally by the end of June and the plan for the first 25 million doses. In addition to the 75% of 80 million doses that will go to COVAX, the U.S. Govt will share remaining 25% for immediate needs and to help with surges around the world, including Malaysia. |

| Mass COVID-19 vaccination centres (PPV) will be set up in Bayan Lepas and Batu Kawan in Penang specifically for factory workers in two weeks’ time. PPV at Spice Arena here is the first mass vaccination centre in Penang and it is scheduled to start operations on June 7. The target is for between 1,000 and 3,000 AstraZeneca doses to be dispensed at Spice Arena daily. |
