Hospital Ampang has close to 150 COVID patients now in, and for the past few weeks the hospital has been expanding the wards in terms of manpower, equipment, and proper isolation spaces.

Both patients and clinicians need equipments urgently to be able to do their work.

The critical economic sector, especially workers in operations that need to operate during the movement control order (MCO), will be vaccinated under phase four of the National COVID-19 Immunisation Programme. The government would be working closely with ProtectHealth Sdh Bhd, a non-profit organisation under the Health Ministry, to manage the vaccination process for the industry sector.

On 3rd June 2021, the Penang Chief Minister, YAB Mr. Chow Kon Yeow announced that mass COVID-19 vaccination centres which are specifically dedicated for factory workers will be set up in island and mainland.

In line with this, the Penang State government will be coordinating in areas within its jurisdiction.

Over 150, 000 COVID-19 vaccine doses were administered on Tuesday (June 8). According to data from the COVID-19 Vaccine Supply Access Guarantee Special Committee (JKJAV), Malaysia dispensed a total of 151,309 doses on Tuesday, with 105, 722 people receiving first doses and the remaining 45,587 people receiving their second dose.

Dell Technologies has announced the implementation of its largest on-site solar panel installation globally at the Dell Technologies Asia Pacific Customer Centre in Bukit Mertajam, Penang. Dell Technologies said the solar photovoltaic system worth RM2.25 million is also a first in Southeast Asia for a Dell Technologies facility.
