| The COVID-19 vaccination programme for the construction sector will begin on July 1. Vaccination for the sector would focus on ongoing construction sites and essential projects.
A total of 10,000 seafarers and port workers are expected to receive their vaccine shots. |

| A total of 2,082 companies nationwide with 301,050 workers have applied to participate in the the PIKAS program as of June 16, 2021. More than 1,733 companies with a combined 280,820 employees had registered in Pikas as of June 16. Of these, 186 companies were from Penang involving 139,851 workers while 255 companies were from Johor involving 14,357 workers. |

| The number of COVID-19 vaccine doses administered in Malaysia yesterday was maintained above the 250,000-mark for a third day in a row, as 268,604 Malaysians were given their shots.
As of June 24, a total of 6,823,104 doses have been administered throughout the country, with 4,924,334 people receiving their first dose and 1,898,770 completing their second dose. |

| Gamuda Bhd is expected to be one of the major beneficiaries for the tunnelling and underground portion of the Mass Rapid Transit Line 3 (MRT3) in the second half (2H) of 2021.
MIDF Research analyst Khoo Zhen Ye said Gamuda is expected to double its order book to about RM9.9 billion from the current RM4.9 billion as of April 2021, with the additional RM5 billion worth of reclamation works of Penang South Island (PSI) Island A, which is expected to be commenced in August 2021. |

While uncertainty remains higher than normal, optimism is on an upswing. Although some regions are suffering renewed outbreaks, the success of massive vaccination campaigns that are under way in other areas gives hope that the end of this awful pandemic is in sight. |
