| Due to high COVID-19 infectivity trends in Selangor and Kuala Lumpur, the National Security Council (MKN) based on Ministry of Health guidance, has decided to implement an Enhanced MCO in Selangor and several localities in Kuala Lumpur from 3 to 16 July 2021. In line with this decision, the Ministry of Transport has made a number of updates to agencies and matters under its purview. |

| The enhanced movement control order will be imposed on several localities in Kuala Lumpur and mukim in Selangor beginning Saturday (July 3). With the implementation of the EMCO, all roads in the areas affected will be closed and guarded by the police. All residents in the EMCO areas are not allowed to leave their homes except for one person from each home, which will be allowed to buy basic necessities within 10km of their homes, |

| Only food manufacturing factories and producers of daily essential needs are allowed to operate during the enhanced movement control order (EMCO) in Selangor and Kuala Lumpur which would begin on July 3. Only the essential services sector is allowed to operate from 8am until 8pm. |

| The Penang government has targeted approximately 1,000 individuals to participate in Penang COVID-19 Screening (PSC-19), a targeted COVID-19 mass screening programme, during the launch on July 5. Residents in Sungai Pinang, Padang Kota, Dato Keramat, Pulau Tikus, Pengkalan Kota and Batu Lanchang would be among the first to be screened. |

| Hospital Ampang has close to 150 COVID patients now in, and for the past few weeks the hospital has been expanding the wards in terms of manpower, equipment, and proper isolation spaces.
Both patients and clinicians need equipments urgently to be able to do their work.
