During this period, AMCHAM will be bringing you daily updates on the latest COVID-19 developments, which includes Government-issued orders, regulations, and SOPs as well as initiatives from related bodies and organizations. |

| The American Malaysian Chamber of Commerce (AMCHAM) urged the government to protect both lives and livelihoods by adopting a more balanced approach to contain the COVID-19 pandemic. AMCHAM said it is greatly concerned with the implementation of enhanced movement control orders (EMCOs) in several sub-districts in Selangor and localities in Kuala Lumpur. |

| Five states – Kelantan, Pahang, Perak, Terengganu and Perlis – have fulfilled three indicators of the National Recovery Plan (NRP) and will move into Phase Two on July 5. These five states were being rewarded for having lowered their number of cases, having better control of the beds in ICU wards and having increased the percentage of the population vaccinated in accordance to set thresholds under the NRP. |

| Malaysia received one million doses of the COVID-19 Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine from the United States this morning. The United States (US) Embassy said that shipment of the vaccine arrived at the Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport for distribution to vaccine centres nationwide. US Ambassador to Malaysia, Brian McFeeters, said the United States is committed to working with Malaysia to defeat the COVID-19 pandemic and achieve global health security. |

| The state government has kicked off its COVID-19 mass screening programme (PSC19) at the City Stadium here today, as it aims to test about 1,000 individuals from six constituencies on the island. Local government, housing and town and country planning committee chairman Jagdeep Singh Deo said about 7,800 individuals from all 40 constituencies in the state have registered for PSC19 since the programme was announced last week. |

| An Industry Vaccination Centre (PPVIN) has been set up at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) to begin vaccinating over 20,000 workers from the nation’s aviation industry. The move is part of the government’s ongoing effort to vaccinate those employed in the transportation sector. |

Micron Memory Malaysia Extends Help to Flood Victims |
| Last weekend, Micron Memory Malaysia, in partnership with Rotary Club and Al Rahman Mosque (Batu Ferringhi) donated supplies to 2 villages Kampung Kubur & Mutiara at Batu Ferringhi that were badly affected by floods recently. Approximately over 100 families were affected as water level rose above 6 feet. A boutique hotel was kind enough to accommodate all the affected families on the day of the floods.
