Several districts in the State of Selangor and localities in the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur will be under an Enhanced Movement Control Order (EMCO) starting 3 to 16 July 2021. During this period, AMCHAM will be bringing you daily updates on the latest COVID-19 developments, which includes Government-issued orders, regulations, and SOPs as well as initiatives from related bodies and organizations. |

| For the manufacturing sector in Selangor, Seremban and Senai, undergoing Enhanced Movement Control Order (EMCO), an updated set of SOPs have been released. Updates include health protocols for employers to follow, workers' housing, emergency response teams protocols, positive COVID case management and more. |

| To immediately reduce congestion at certain ports, special permission to permit all handling, receiving, loading, and unloading activities of imported non-essential goods and cargo for export and import purposes in areas under Enhanced Movement Control Order (EMCO) will begin on 15 July to 17 July (Thursday to Saturday).

| The COVID-19 vaccination centre (PPV) for the Construction Industry Vaccination Programme (CIVac) in the northern region will be in Penang. Registration for CIVac in the northern region is now open for all workers in the construction sector but it will be on a first-come-first-served basis. The transport and infrastructure committee chairman urged employers in the sector to register their workers as soon as possible. |

| The 434,828 doses of COVID-19 vaccine administered yesterday, 14 July, is the highest number registered so far. 279,938 individuals received the first dose and 154,890 the second dose. This brings the total number of vaccines dispensed nationwide since the National COVID-19 Immunisation Programme (NIP) was implemented on Feb 24 to 12,647,558 doses. |

| The government has urged the Special Committee on Ensuring Access to Covid-19 Supply (JKJAV) to consider relaxing standard operating procedures (SOP) for those who have received both doses of their vaccine.
The leeway will include greater physical movement and the easing of regulations for some social activities. |
