Inbound Malaysians and expatriates must currently undergo a mandatory 14-day quarantine at a Quarantine Station (Government-gazetted hotels or other premises). For those traveling from India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Nepal, or Pakistan, the quarantine period is 21 days. The policy for the entry and quarantine process of those arriving from abroad has been issued by the National Disaster Management Agency (NADMA).

The Transport Ministry has obtained approval from the COVID-19 Immunisation Task Force (CITF) to open additional industry vaccination centres (PPVIN). Currently, there are six PPVIN operating throughout the country to support the National COVID-19 Immunisation Programme.

Malaysia has fully vaccinated over 30% of its adult population against COVID-19. Hospital Ampang has close to 150 COVID patients now in, and for the past few weeks the hospital has been expanding the wards in terms of manpower, equipment, and proper isolation spaces.

Both patients and clinicians need equipments urgently to be able to do their work.
