Further easing of business SOP in states under Phase 2 of National Recovery Plan
All trade and distribution sub-sectors in states under Phase 2 of the National Recovery Plan (PPN) can resume operations even if the number of fully vaccinated individuals in those states has yet to reach 50 per cent of the adult population. The Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs (KPDNHEP) Ministry, in a statement, said the states involved are Kelantan, Terengganu, Pahang, Perak, Penang and Sabah.

525,111 COVID-19 vaccine jabs given on Tuesday (Aug 17)
Malaysia administered 525,111 COVID-19 vaccine doses on Tuesday (Aug 17). 184,972 people received their first dose of a COVID-19 vaccine, while 340,139 individuals received their second dose and completed the inoculation. Johor administered the most first doses with 33,092 jabs given, followed by Sabah (30,602), Terengganu (19,825) and Penang (14,926).

Hospital Ampang has close to 150 COVID patients now in, and for the past few weeks the hospital has been expanding the wards in terms of manpower, equipment, and proper isolation spaces.

Both patients and clinicians need equipments urgently to be able to do their work.
