| All trade and distribution sub-sectors in states under Phase 2 of the National Recovery Plan (PPN) can resume operations even if the number of fully vaccinated individuals in those states has yet to reach 50 per cent of the adult population. The Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs (KPDNHEP) Ministry, in a statement, said the states involved are Kelantan, Terengganu, Pahang, Perak, Penang and Sabah. |

| Malaysia administered 525,111 COVID-19 vaccine doses on Tuesday (Aug 17). 184,972 people received their first dose of a COVID-19 vaccine, while 340,139 individuals received their second dose and completed the inoculation. Johor administered the most first doses with 33,092 jabs given, followed by Sabah (30,602), Terengganu (19,825) and Penang (14,926). |
