The Selangor government is making preparations to provide the booster dose of the COVID-19 vaccine under its Selangor Vaccine Programme (Selvax). State Public Health, Unity, Women and Family Development Committee chairman Dr Siti Mariah Mahmud said the preparations included to provide the vaccine for those aged 18 and below, which is subjected to approval by (JKJAV).

About 41.6 per cent of the country's population or 13,580,934 people have completed both doses of the COVID-19 vaccination as of yesterday (24 August). 18,631,593 individuals, or 57.1 per cent, have received the first dose, bringing to a total of 32,212,527 doses of the vaccine having been administered under the COVID-19 National Immunisation Programme until yesterday.

RHB Banking Group has launched RHB Virtual Ride: Ride for Good, it's first virtual cycling event to raise funds for COVID-19 impacted families. The bank said the event is expected to attract up to 1,000 participants and provides the opportunity for participating cyclists to contribute to a good cause simply by cycling.

Hospital Ampang has close to 150 COVID patients now in, and for the past few weeks the hospital has been expanding the wards in terms of manpower, equipment, and proper isolation spaces.

Both patients and clinicians need equipments urgently to be able to do their work.

While many are justifiably proud of their enormous accomplishments during the pandemic, we have found that a false sense of their digital capabilities has settled on many companies.
