The Human Resource Ministry through the Social Security Organisation (SOCSO) will supply COVID-19 Antigen Rapid Test Kits (RTK) to employers to facilitate the Recovery Phase COVID-19 Screening Programme on employees. The employers are responsible for coordinating the implementation of the screening process with clinics, hospitals or trained doctors of their choice.
Walk-in COVID-19 vaccination will kick off in 10 vaccination centres (PPV) in Penang beginning tomorrow, September 8 The walk-in vaccination is only open to Malaysians aged 18 and above. The PPVs on the island designated for walk-ins are the SPICE Convention Centre (SPICE CC), Sungai Nibong 'pesta' ground and the Balik Pulau Sports Complex.
A total of 68.8 per cent of the adult population in the country, or 16,107,712 individuals, have completed their COVID-19 vaccination as of Monday (Sept 6). A total of 313,751 doses of the vaccines were dispensed under the National COVID-19 Immunisation Programme Monday, with 132,640 doses to the first dose recipients and 181,111 doses as the second dose.
