Government agrees to implement COVID-19 vaccine booster shot
The government will administer a third COVID-19 vaccine dose or booster shot after the nationwide vaccination rate exceeds 80 per cent of the adult population. Priority for the administration of the third dose would be given to high-risk groups. Those in this group include healthcare frontliners, people who are immune-compromised, the elderly with comorbidities and those residing and working at long-term health care facilities.

Immunization programme for adolescents kicks off today (20 September)
The National COVID-19 Adolescent Immunization Programme (PICK) officially kicked off today targeting the involvement of 3.2 million teenagers aged 12 to 17. The programme would be carried out through several methods such as outreach to schools or institutions on a scheduled basis, injections at health clinics and hospitals as well as walk-ins at selected vaccination centres (PPV) nationwide.

Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre is Malaysia’s first SafeBE certified venue!
The Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (the Centre) is Malaysia’s first venue to be granted the Safe Business Events (SafeBE) certification, a hygiene and safety label, by Bureau Veritas. The SafeBE certification programme, initiated and supported by the Business Events Council Malaysia (BECM), gained collaboration from Malaysian Association of Convention & Exhibition Organisers & Suppliers (MACEOS) and the Malaysia Convention & Exhibition Bureau (MyCEB) to drive the venue certification process to create an end-to-end safe and secure event journey for event organisers and participants alike.

A large number of CEO’s in Asia Pacific say their supply chains have been under increasing stress over the past 18 months, according to a KPMG 2021 CEO Outlook. The KPMG 2021 CEO Outlook surveyed more than 1,300 global CEOs about their strategies and outlook over a 3-year horizon. Among almost 500 CEOs in Asia Pacific, 66 percent of CEOs in ASPAC stated their supply chains have been under increasing stress over the past 18 months.
