Malaysia Digital (MD) and ICT Companies Under Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC) to initiate Employment Pass applications via Xpats Gateway.
Malaysia Digital (MD) and ICT Companies Under Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC) to initiate Employment Pass applications via Xpats Gateway.
Effective from 24 April 2024, all registered companies under MDEC applying for new and renewal Employment Pass (EP) must submit their applications through the Xpats Gateway at https://xpatsgateway.com.my/, using the same login credentials as the MDEC Expats System.

These applications will be directed to Expats System, where the companies are required to provide all necessary information for submission. Please be informed that MDEC will continue to review these applications for approval decision.

Microsoft announces US$2.2b AI, cloud investment in Malaysia
Microsoft pledged a US$2.2 billion (RM10.5 billion) investment in artificial intelligence and cloud computing in Malaysia to help develop the country’s AI infrastructure.

It said the cash would help to build AI and cloud infrastructure in Malaysia, creating an AI centre of excellence and giving AI training to as many as 200,000 Malaysians.
