Administrative Assistant
The Administrative Assistant reports to the Operations Manager and the Business Development Manager, while working closely with AMCHAM’s executive leadership, colleagues, members, and other stakeholders to ensure the smooth and efficient operations of the Chamber.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Data entry and management of accurate and up-to-date records for the Chamber at large, especially on the CRM platform and other systems, including events and membership lists.
  • Support the survey work at the Chamber, including but not limited to irregular snap polls, and surveys for My AmCham Cares, Membership, Economic Impact Survey, etc.
  • Develop simple presentations and data visualization.

Events Executive
The Events Executive is part of the events team and reports to the Events Manager while working closely with AMCHAM’s executive leadership, colleagues, members, and other stakeholders to enhance the Chamber’s events portfolio and activities.

Duties & Responsibilities:
Project Management
  • Support the organization’s overall programming events and meetings needs while maintaining the high standards expected from the Chamber.
  • Support and work with the events team to plan and execute program logistics, including liaising with vendors, speakers, sponsors, and other stakeholders.
  • Track event revenue, expenses and projects.

Local for Global: Economic Impact Survey (EIS) 2022/23 Launch
On Monday, 11 March, AMCHAM released the Economic Impact Survey (EIS) 2022/23 at the AMCHAM Executive Office. The EIS 2022/23 reaffirms the impact of U.S. companies in Malaysia and the investments they have made over the many decades that they have been in the country.

Eighty-one responding member companies provided a snapshot of how deeply committed American companies are to developing local talent and incorporating local businesses into their ecosystems. These 81 reported employing almost 150,000 individuals, almost 90% of whom are Malaysians.

MITI to take heed of AMCHAM’s ‘advise’ to fine tune trade, investment policy: Tengku Zafrul
The Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry (MITI) will study the findings from the American Malaysian Chamber of Commerce’s (AMCHAM) Economic Impact Survey (EIS) 2022-2023 to fine-tune trade and investment policies to further enhance Malaysia’s position as a preferred investment destination.

MITI minister Tengku Zafrul Abdul Aziz said the business association’s findings reflect confidence in the Madani government’s policies and in its earnest efforts to facilitate the investors’ journey since December 2022.
