Antony Lee is the Chief Executive Officer of AIG Malaysia. Antony, a Malaysian citizen, has been in the insurance sector for over 21 years. Prior to this appointment, he was the CEO of AIG Vietnam from 2011 where his responsibilities included the development of a key growth country for AIG within the Asia Pacific region. He began his career at AIG in 2001 as VP of Business Development with AIG’s Software International JV based in Malaysia.

Antony holds a Bachelor of Science Degree and a Diploma in Architecture from University College London and is also a graduate of AIG’s Executive Development Management program.

He is currently the Chairman of the General Insurance Association of Malaysia (PIAM); the Malaysian Insurance Institute (MII) as well as the American Malaysian Chamber of Commerce (AMCHAM). He is also a director of the Ombudsman for Financial Services (OFS); Financial Industry Collective Outreach (FINCO) and Nicol David Organisation (NDO).

With an education in genetics and public health policy, Azrul has worked as a health development program specialist for more than 19 years. He has experience working on issues related to social welfare, public health, HIV/AIDS, reproductive health, gender based violence, and humanitarian assistance.

Previous positions have been with the Institute for Democracy and Economic Affairs (IDEAS); International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF); United Nations Development Program (UNDP)/ Joint United Nations Program on HIV/AIDS (UNAIDS); International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC); United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) and Malaysian AIDS Council (MAC).

He is a writer and was a columnist with two Malaysian publications, the Malay Mail and China Press. Azrul is currently a board member of the Centre to Combat Corruption & Cronyism (C4) based in Malaysia.

Fabian was appointed as the Chief Executive Officer for SCMO effective 19 April 2021. The mandate for the SCMO is to drive change management and ensure the successful delivery of the Malaysia Digital Economy Blueprint (MDEB). The office also serves as the main secretariat for the National Digital Economy and 4IR Council (MED4IRN) chaired by the Prime Minister.

His previous assignments include the Undersecretary for Policy and International Relations in the Ministry of Health, Director of the Civil Service Delivery Unit in the Prime Minister’s Department and the Director for the National Key Economic Area – Healthcare as well as the Director for National Key Results Area – Low Income Households in the Performance Management and Delivery Unit (PEMANDU) under the Prime Minister’s Department.

During his stint in PEMANDU, he was temporarily assigned to the Presidential Delivery Bureau, Republic of Tanzania between August and December 2014.

Fabian received his BSc. from Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, Ohio, USA and his Masters in Public Policy from the National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies, Tokyo.

Director, Planning Division of Ministry of Health Malaysia

Rozita Halina Tun Hussein is Director of the Planning Division in Ministry of Health, which has 6 specific technical sections. She oversees the planning and implementation of health reforms for Malaysia’s health system including the Health White Paper development. The Planning Division also monitors and evaluates various aspects of the health system.

Dr Rozita was involved in setting up the not-for-profit government-owned strategic purchasing company under the MOH, which now implements the PeKa B40 scheme that emphasises early screening for NCDs at PHC level using both private and public GPs. This strategic purchaser also involved in the National COVID-19 Immunization Program and contracts private providers to assist in vaccinating the public.

She is a Public Health Specialist trained at Harvard University in Health Policy and Management particularly Health Economics and Financing.

Anurag Bhargava is the Area Marketing Director at Abbott’s Core Diagnostics Division based in Singapore.

He has over 21 years of work experience at Abbott’s Medical Device and Diagnostics businesses in Europe and Asia, and across several functions including marketing, general management, sales, and therapy advancement.

During these years, Anurag’s focus has been on growing business through building effective customer relationships, following a process of continuous improvement and enhancing healthcare outcomes.

Within Diagnostics, besides developing and executing on marketing strategies, he is actively driving initiatives to demonstrate the value of diagnostics/laboratory within the healthcare ecosystem. He is also a member of the IVD working group with the Government Affairs and Market Access Committee of the APACMed organization.

Prior to Abbott, Anurag worked as a physician in a public-sector hospital and as a general manager in a family business in India.

Anurag holds a Bachelor’s degree in Medicine and Surgery from India, a Master’s in Biomedical Engineering from the US and an MBA from INSEAD, France.

As the Medical Director for International SOS Malaysia, Dr Chan oversees the Assistance and Response Centres’
service delivery provided in Malaysia. Dr Chan leads a team of doctors and nurses within the Kuala Lumpur
Assistance and Response Centres to deliver quality medical advisory, clinical services, and remote healthcare
support to organisations and International SOS members in Malaysia and also in the region.

Dr Chan started her career at International SOS Malaysia in 2016, providing health advisory and solutions for
diverse workforce including business travellers and international assignees of organisations across various
industries, assisting organisations in crises management and business continuity planning, and also working
closely with remote site medical professionals in looking after employees working at offshore and remote
locations.

Dr Chan graduated from International Medical University in 2005 and has worked in tertiary healthcare facilities in
Malaysia for more than 10 years before joining International SOS. Her experiences in the healthcare industry
include general medicine, pediatrics, women’s health, anesthesia, intensive care, emergency medicine and
trauma medicine.

With her expertise in Biotechnology and being a fitness enthusiast, Jazz is passionate about healthcare and wellness, especially in areas related to leveraging technology to bridge the gap between healthcare providers and users, and empowering people to be more health-conscious.

At Doctor2U, Jazz is committed to growing and improving Doctor2U service offerings and userbase to become one of the top healthcare apps in the country. From digital enhancements to business development initiatives, Jazz has contributed to various successful upgrades within the Doctor2U platform over the past year. Hasnul is the Director, Government and Regulatory Affairs for IBM Malaysia. His responsibilities include strategic stakeholder engagement, the provision of policy input to government stakeholders, supporting the business objectives of IBM in Malaysia and is part of the IBM Malaysia senior leadership team.

He has over 18 years of experience in working in various leadership roles in startups and the Multimedia Development Corporation (MDeC). His extensive experience in handling management, technical and strategy roles has served to strengthen his contribution to the various organizations he has served in. He has been involved in the Economic Transformation Labs at the national (ETP 2010) and regional level (IRDA). He has represented IBM as a speaker on a wide range of technology and policy issues at various forums as the ASLI Digital Economy Conference, ASLI Malaysia Education Summit, the Edge SME Summit and other industry events.

He is currently involved in the Government Relations Committee of the American Malaysian Chamber of Commerce and a member of the US ASEAN Business Council. He is an avid reader of economic theory, business strategy, biographies and Tom Clancy novels. In his spare time he enjoys trekking, military simulation paintball and strategy themed computer games. His current policy interest areas are national economic development theory, the impact of technology on society and the economy (blockchain, artificial intelligence, social media) and Malaysia’s political and societal transition post GE 14.

Dr Chee Piau Wong is a paediatrician and a child neurologist. He received his undergraduate medical training in Malaysia and postgraduate training in United Kingdom. He is the first Malaysia paediatrician to complete the UK Calman Training in Paediatrics and Paediatric Neurology.

Chee Piau is keen in teaching and revamped the paediatric trainee teaching program in Northern England. He is also a founding member of Monash Medical School in Malaysia established in July 2006. He also established the Community Based Practice (CBP) Program in Monash Malaysia focusing on the social model of health. This program has extensive involvement of community NGO and enables Monash University to engage the community it meant to serve. The program was subsequently adapted by all three
Monash Campuses in Australia and Malaysia, winning the Pro Vice Chancellor Excellence in teaching 3 years consecutively. In addition, Chee Piau also set up the rural health placement for the year 2 medical students and improved the indigenous component of the program to better reflect the challenges facing
this community.

Chee Piau is very involved in telemedicine research projects. Among them are an integrated online telemedicine ecosystem for Malaysia and patient centred electronic services (PACES), Child active
physical and cognitive health evaluation system (Child Apache), Artificial Intelligence in EEG interpretation, Active video game based virtual rehabilitation system (Vihab), online synchronous and
asynchronous counselling, online group therapy for university students, and using natural language processing in predicting dementia and childhood language disorders. He recently led a team and completed the project “WeCare365”. This is a MDEC-DHM-MOH initiative aiming at supporting the B40 group with diabetes during COVID19 pandemic.

Chee Piau is passionate about Digital Health. He established the telemedicine research cluster in Monash University Malaysia, formulating a strategy for translational research in telemedicine in Monash University Malaysia. He started the Telemedicine National Conference, Telemedicine National Innovation Challenge and set up the Perdana Centre for Digital Health in Perdana University. He is also one of the founding members of the Digital Health Malaysia (DHM), a steering committee co-chaired by the Director of Health Ministry of Health (MOH) and Chairman of Malaysia Communication and Multimedia Commission (MCMC). Digital Health Malaysia is now registered as an industry lead association where Chee Piau is the founding president. Chee Piau joined University Tuanku Abdul
Rahman (UTAR) in June 2022 to help with UTAR’s transition into Digital Health. One of the initiatives will be to participate in the digital transformation at Hospital UTAR.

The other roles which Chee Piau is / has been involved in were:
1. Working council member of AeHIN (Asia eHealth Information Network)
2. Founding chairman of the Chapter of Developmental Paediatrics and Child Neurology in
Malaysia,
3. Member of the Malaysia Medical Council / Malaysian Qualification Agency Accreditation Committee for the accreditation of Medical Schools in Malaysia.

Chee Piau remains an active clinician and conducts clinic for general childhood disorders, children with neurology and neurodisability disorders with special interest in Paediatric Epilepsy, paediatric neurodisability and Community Paediatrics.
