Invest Selangor Looks To Revitalise The Aviation Industry Through Selangor Aviation Show 2021

Invest Selangor Berhad through their aerospace division S-DAICO has launched the state’s latest initiative Selangor Aviation Show (SAS) 2021 to revitalise the industry  post Covid-19.

EXCO Industry And Trade Selangor, Teng Chang Khim said it will bring in the world’s best aerospace and aviation players by creating potential business and investment opportunities in both domestic as well as on the international stage.

“We are ambitious to make this show the most important aviation event in the Asia Pacific in the very near future and today is the beginning of the great journey.

“With this stage, S-DAICO is targeting to draw at least 5,000 visitors and at least 30 exhibitors from local and international companies,”  Khim said. 

Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Invest Selangor Berhad, Hasan Azhari Idris said the Selangor Aviation Show is another initiative by the state government to reflect their commitment to the industry which is aimed to further boost the position of Selangor as the hub of aviation activities.

“It is vital for Selangor to look into this unique but highly potential segment and see how we can work closely with industry players to promote it even further.

“With our aim to have more than 70% of aerospace companies to be based in Selangor by the end of this year, the focus of SAS 2021 is to develop the business and general aviation activities in, and within the Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport in Subang,” Hasan said.

Hasan also added that another strategic decision on organising SAS 2021 in SkyPark RAC, Subang also coincides with Selangor’s three main aerospace industrial areas are located in Subang, Serendah and Sepang.

“Apart from the business jet activities, Subang also provides a conducive ecosystem for housing aerospace and aviation related players which includes all various activities from electrical parts and services, manufacturing of parts and many other aerospace and aviation activities,” Hasan said
