Putrajaya Recognises Sunway’s CSR Efforts At 75th Anniversary Celebration

Sunway received a prestigious recognition for the social impact of its corporate social responsibility efforts from the Department of Social Welfare Malaysia at its 75th Anniversary Celebration on Sunday night.

Sunway Group Founder and Chairman Tan Sri Dr Jeffrey Cheah received the award on behalf of the conglomerate from YAB Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, who graced the awards ceremony at the Putrajaya International Convention Centre.

“We are humbled by the recognition and this award goes to our team at Sunway who is working tirelessly, not to only innovate for long-term solutions to the world’s most pressing challenges every day but also dedicated to reaching out to those who need it the most at every step of the way, so that no one will be left behind on the path to progress. The goals of the UN-SDGs are not the work of governments alone – it is everyone’s responsibility. We are all in this together.”

Sunway Group is committed to advancing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN-SDGs) and carries out social responsibility aligned to the UN-SDGs through its #SunwayforGood initiatives.

The Group has also recently committed Sunway Pyramid Convention Centre as the first private large-scale vaccination centre for the Petaling district, as the country ramps up its NCIP. In conjunction with the Hari Raya festive season, Sunway will be embarking on its Hari Raya CSR campaign which will reach out to a total of 14,266 beneficiaries nationwide.
