IBM Security has introduced new Software as a Service (SaaS) version, specifically designed to simplify how organisations deploy a zero trust architecture across the enterprise
A zero trust is a framework for business to modernise their overall security programs and helps them adapt to the risks emerging from their changing business environment.
The new IBM Security zero trust blueprints (SaaS) is a version of IBM Cloud Pak for Security. It offers a framework for building a security program designed by applying the core principles of zero trust: least privilege access; never trust, always verify; and assume breach.
Speaking at the virtual IBM roundtable today (25 May) Matthew Glitzer, Vice President of IBM Security APAC, said, “Businesses really need to start adopting the zero trust in that security journey and align it with which area they aimed to digitalise first.”
The capability and guidance for these blueprints were developed from real customer engagements to help organisations plan their zero-trust journey and investments with a pragmatic approach that better aligns security and business objectives.
These blueprints enable companies a prescriptive roadmap of security capabilities along with guidance on how to integrate them as part of a zero-trust architecture.
To help simplify and connect security across companies’ broader ecosystem of vendors, IBM is also collaborating with leading technology partner, The Zscaler.
“The only way to truly secure today’s digital businesses are to adopt a zero trust security model where validated user identity is combined with business policies for direct access to authorised applications and resources,” Jay Chaudhry, Chairman, CEO and Founder of Zscaler said.
Additionally, The IBM Security zero trust blueprints help address the following business initiatives; preserving the security policy, secure the hybrid and remote workforce, reduce the risk of insider threat and protect the hybrid cloud.
The alliance partnership is part of critical component toward a zero trust approach to assist organisations with simplifying remote work and network security modernisation.
